About this Event
Join the ladies of Mná Mheiriceá for an empowering evening of conversation, connection, and learning around hormonal health.
In this insightful and relatable session, we’ll explore hormonal health across the major life stages — from periods and fertility to pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause. Together, we’ll look at how hormones influence energy, mood, sleep, focus, and overall wellbeing, and why understanding what’s happening in your body can make everyday life feel easier.
This myth-free, inclusive talk will offer practical insight into recognising hormonal changes, navigating life transitions with more confidence, and supporting your wellbeing at home and at work. Designed to be reassuring, informative, and empowering, the evening creates space for open conversation and shared understanding — no jargon, no stigma, just real talk.
Whether you’re curious, confused, or simply want to feel more informed, this is an opportunity to come together, learn, and feel supported in a welcoming community setting.
Attendees will learn:
- How the menstrual cycle works as a “monthly health check.”
- What really happens to hormones during pregnancy, postpartum, and miscarriage.
- Why perimenopause can feel unpredictable — and how to recognise the signs early.
- What menopause actually means, without the myths or stigma.
- Simple, practical steps to support hormones at work and at home (movement, sleep, food, stress tools).
- How hormonal shifts can affect neurodivergent women differently.
The session is designed to be empowering, inclusive and practical giving women the knowledge and tools to understand their bodies, advocate for their needs, and navigate each life stage with more confidence.
Catherine O’Keeffe is the founder of Wellness Warrior and Ireland’s first menopause coach. Her work is rooted in both professional training and lived experience, shaped by her own unexpected and challenging experience of perimenopause in her mid-40s.
Like many women, Catherine found herself struggling with symptoms that were misunderstood, minimised, or dismissed — and realised how little clear, practical information was available about hormonal health. That experience became the catalyst for Wellness Warrior, a platform dedicated to breaking the silence around hormones and helping women feel informed, supported, and validated at every life stage.
Catherine now works with women, organisations, and communities through talks, workplace programmes, courses, and events, translating complex hormonal science into clear, relatable, real-life understanding. She is a passionate advocate for open conversation around menstruation, perimenopause, and menopause, and is known for her inclusive, practical, and compassionate approach.
Her mission is simple: to ensure women understand what’s happening in their bodies, have the language to advocate for their needs, and feel confident navigating hormonal change — rather than feeling confused or alone.
