About this Event
Growing up comes with a lot of changes, and starting a period is one of the biggest milestones in a young girl’s life. This 1.5 hour workshop is designed to make that experience feel normal, understood, and empowering.
It’s a Party, Period! is a supportive, age-appropriate session where girls will learn about menstruation, puberty, and body changes in a safe and welcoming environment.
BONUS: They will leave with their own pouch filled with basic necessities.
A licensed nurse will lead the educational portion of the workshop, breaking down:
- What a period is and why it happens
- What to expect during the menstrual cycle
- Physical and emotional changes during puberty
- Basic hygiene and self-care
- What’s normal and when to ask for help
The workshop includes interactive activities and guided workbook exercises to help girls feel prepared, confident, and comfortable talking about their bodies.
This experience is designed to remove fear, answer questions, and help girls feel proud of their growth and development.
