Enjoy the culminating spring concert by this beloved ensemble that bridges Virginia Tech and the broader community.The Itraab Music Ensemble, whose name means “creating enchantment through music,” is a musical group made up of Virginia Tech students, graduate students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Under the direction of Anne Elise Thomas, ethnomusicologist, the ensemble performs traditional and contemporary repertoire from Southwest Asia and North and East Africa, as well as their diasporas. Instrumentation includes 'ud, qanun, santoor, tar, and other instruments.
This concert is free to all.
