About this Event
We are pleased to invite you to the first edition of the International Tax Italian Conference (ITIC), to be held on Friday, 22 November 2024 in Rome, Italy at the Auditorium Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Roma.
The Conference is organised by Assonime, in collaboration with the OECD and under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The event aims to examine the main critical areas in international taxation and promote a discussion between institutions and businesses in order to identify shared policy directions.
This year's focus will be on "Fostering tax simplification". After opening remarks from Assonime Chairman Patrizia Grieco, the Conference will be introduced by Fabrizia Lapecorella, Deputy Secretary General of the OECD, and Alberto Trabucchi, Assonime Co-Director General and Head of Taxation. Final remarks will be made by Maurizio Leo, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance.
The event will consist of three sessions:
o Session 1: “Recent trends in International taxation”
- Pressing topics in the International tax agenda;
- Update on EU projects;
- The issue of a fair attribution of taxation rights.

o Session 2: “The future of Pillar 2”
- The risk of having a “non-Global Minimum Tax”;
- Time for thinking of a Permanent Safe Harbours;
- Reactions of national taxation systems (tax incentives, CFC, etc.).
