‘It Takes a Spark’ STEM Conferences offers a unique experience which inspires and engages students, teachers and leaders in STEM/STEAM to think about new possibilities for learning. Students have the opportunity to attend the event with their teachers and learn and participate together in the latest innovations, technology and developments in STEM. Founded by engineer, education consultant and author, Dr Adrian Bertolini and event specialist, Rachel Manneke-Jones in 2017, the Conference has directly and positively impacted over 6750 educators and students through their attendance.
The 2024 Conference in Tasmania will explore the theme STEAM – Creating and Shaping a Thriving Future. Over the course of the day Teacher and Student co-learning activities will spark an understanding of how STEAM empowers leaders, develops changemakers, and shapes the transition to a future that works for everyone and everything.
Teachers will also have the option to attend a Professional Development stream where some of Australia’s leading practitioners in the fields of design, technology, curriculum planning, student engagement and STEM learning will facilitate engaging sessions.
