About this Event
The IStructE London YMG is happy to invite you to our first Design Competition in Collaboration with Mott MacDonald, which will take place on 10th November 2022.
This competition style was originally initiated at Brunel University London by Georgina Wilson-Cousins on behalf of the Civil Engineering Society with the support of Mott MacDonald.
The event aims to encourage collaboration, innovation, and technical validity of participants. Participants can form their own groups or join groups on the day. There is a limitation of 6 teams that can enter, of which will be formed of 4 to 6 participants. Due to complexity unfortunately only, physical attendance is allowed.
The Judges from both organisations shall be announced later!
The event is FREE to attend, and refreshments will be provided. Please bring stationary and electronic devices to support your ideations!
The schedule for the evening is listed below:
6:00 pm – 6:15pm Registration opens, refreshments during reception
6:15 pm – 6:30pm Competition Introduction and Task Explanations
6:30 pm – 8:00pm Attendees Attempt Competition
8:00 pm – 8:30pm Group Presentations
8:30 pm – 8:45pm Judging Deliberations, whilst attendees network
8:45 pm – 9:00pm Results and networking until close
9:00 pm Close
