We are excited to announce that Issei Aoyama (guitar) will be joined by Rei Wang (bass) for Music Over Midtown on January 22nd from 7-9pm. About the Artist:
Born in Nagasaki, Japan, Issei Aoyama grew up in Fukuoka, Japan. At 16, he left for Toronto and a year later moved to the United States.
Aoyama began his musical career playing with his father on drums, his mother on the koto and shami-sen and his sister on piano. At 5, he began playing the piano. He switched to the guitar at 13. Since the age of 20 he has focused on jazz, performing as a soloist as well as with a combo and larger groups. Today he can be found performing in and around OKC with many local Jazz artists and his band Kintsugi Mob.
About the Series:
Music Over Midtown is a weekly event (Thursday night) showcasing some of Oklahoma City's most talented Jazz musicians.
About the Venue:
O Bar is a beautiful rooftop venue with some of the most spectacular panoramic views of Oklahoma City. Music Over Midtown is a Live Music Event from 7-9pm every Thursday featuring some of the top musicians in OKC and surrounding area.
