Biography:
Malaya is a sublime artist in every sense.
A singer, songwriter, producer, performer, and multi-instrumentalist, she seamlessly blends experimental R&B, lo-fi hip hop, jazz, and folk into a sound that feels both intimate and otherworldly — inviting listeners into experiences yet to be discovered.
At just 16, Malaya captured national attention as a finalist on American Idol Season 13, finishing in the Top 10. Since then, she’s been featured on three Grammy-nominated albums, toured the globe, and collaborated with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Terrace Martin, Keyon Harrold, MAVI, Ricky Reed, and more.
But Malaya’s artistry extends beyond the music. Her work is rooted in radical self-expression and the pursuit of truth — encouraging her listeners to embrace their full selves. Every song is an offering of freedom, a reminder that authenticity is not just possible — it’s powerful.
