Isle of Mull, Oban, Inveraray and West Highlands Weekend Trip

This truly Scottish journey will take you through some of the most majestic scenery in the West Highlands of Scotland to visit Isle of Mull, Oban and Inveraray.

  • Isle of Mull: Enjoy a journey by a large luxury ferry over the Firth of Lorn, admire the views overlooking the islands and the mainland, and visit the Isle of Mull, the second-largest island of the Inner Hebrides (after Skye) off the west coast of Scotland.
  • Oban: Discover the Highlands' most picturesque town, known as the Seafood Capital of Scotland' and take a stroll to visit McCaig's Tower, Dunollie Castle, Oban Cathedral, Chocolate Factory / Shop and its picturesque colourful harbour
  • Whisky Distillery: Visit Oban Whisky Shop and Exhibition or go Whisky Tasting at one of Scotland's famous distilleries
  • Inveraray, Inveraray Castle and Loch Fyne: Visit Inveraray Castle, featured in Downton Abbey, and enjoy the walk through Inveraray and along the shores of Loch Fyne
  • St Conan's Kirk: Visit a very unique church built by St Walter Campbell for his mother
  • Kilchurn Castle: Visit a 15-century castle known as the most photographed and most picturesque castle in the Scottish Highlands on the shores of Lochawe.
  • Arochar Alps and Rest and Be Thankful Viewpoint: Admire the views at Glen Croe and see why it is called Rest and Be Thankful!
  • Lochs, Glens & Munro: Enjoy the stops at Loch Awe, Loch Etive, Loch Restil and picturesque places in West Scottish Highlands


About the Tour - Isle of Mull and Oban is a 2 Day Tour

We will spend our weekend visiting the Isle of Mull, Oban and Inveraray in the West Highlands. Day 1 includes visiting Oban, the beautiful 'Seafood Capital of Scotland', a popular tourist destination known for its Whisky Distillery, McCaig's Tower, Dunollie Castle, Chocolate Factory and spectacular views over the nearby islands. Our adventure on the first day also includes visiting Inveraray, Inveraray Castle, featured in Downton Abbey, the beautiful walks on the banks of Loch Fyne and Lochawe, panoramic views at 'Rest and Be Thankful' in Glen Core and Kilchurn Castle. Day 2 includes a journey across the Firth of Lorn to the IsleFerryull by ferry and a great tour around the Isle of Mull.

Accommodation is included in your ticket. We will stay overnight in a lovely standard hostel situated in Oban with great views overlooking the sea. On the day of departure, you can choose a room that suits you best with your friends or other guests in the group such as a shared female-only room or a shared male-only room or a shared mixed room.


Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

There will be complimentary tea and coffee at our accommodation in the morning on Day 2 and you can buy things you need for your breakfast at the supermarket in Oban. You will have plenty of time for lunch and dinner in restaurants on both days and your Tour Guide will also recommend some great local restaurants.

Lots of smiles, a camera, warm clothes, proper walking/hiking shoes, personal toiletries, an ID and cash/card for meals and souvenirs.
