I invite you to a Yoga Flow on Saturday the 23 of March from 11:30-13:30 dedicated to Goddess Isis.
Also known as the Goddess of Many Names, Isis is an Egyptian Goddess. Her name translates to “Throne Goddess”. She is sometimes depicted as a winged goddess. She is a powerful multifaceted Goddess and assists us in claiming our inner throne.
In one myth, she plots to steal the powers of The God of Sun Ra. She does by tricking him to tell her his real name, which is where his power is stored. In doing so, she receives his abilities and becomes the strongest Goddess. She uses her powers to reign with love and compassion over her kingdom.
In another myth, her husband Osiris is killed and his body is disassembled and scattered across Egypt. It is said that her grief was so strong that she filled the river Nile in tears. She finds and gathers the dissevered body parts of her husband and he is brought back to life.
You can expect a yoga flow where we will alternate between variations of standing poses and playful balancing sequences. The flow will be dynamic, with moments of rest and introspection between the more energetic waves. We will end with a guided meditation to embody our own inner Goddess and assisting us in taking our own throne.
