The IRS has been given the authority to hire contact representatives in select locations nationwide. These entry-level customer service positions are vital to ensuring taxpayers have the support they need to meet their tax obligations.
We are hosting an in-person hiring event for these positions for our service center in Chamblee, GA on August 21st or 22nd. We encourage you to apply and attend!
During the event, we will be making on-the-spot job offers and these selected candidates will be able to complete several pre-employment steps, such as fingerprinting!

Required Steps
Step 1. Apply to the job announcement prior to the event at:
We will pre-qualify you and you'll be given expedited consideration at the hiring event on the 21st or 22nd. This is a required step. Don't delay, apply today!

Contact Representative Position Information
As a Contact Representative, you will work directly with taxpayers to resolve a variety of issues on their tax returns and tax accounts. One year of specialized customer service experience is required to qualify, however, a bachelor's degree (or combination of experience and education) can be substituted for the specialized experience requirement.
These entry level positions do not require you to have prior tax experience. Our top-notch training programs will teach you everything you need to know to prepare you to be successful in these positions.
For the Chamblee call site, we will be offering full-time, seasonal positions on day and mid-day shifts beginning as early as 7am. Training may be conducted at a different time. Full-time seasonal positions are typically offered on a 6-8 month season and can be extended. If seasonal employees are released during the off-season, they will be called back at the start of each new season and do not need to reapply.

What to bring
During this event, we will be making job offers to those qualified attendees that previously applied to the Jacksonville Contact Representative job announcement linked above. If our offer is accepted, you will be able to complete several pre-employment steps during the event. The entire process can take about 2-3 hours to complete. Please plan accordingly.
Remember to bring the following:
