Celebrate the joy of the season with an afternoon of Irish dance, live music, and festive spirit! Join the Champagne Academy of Irish Dance and Doras Nua for a lively holiday céilí that brings together the warmth of community and the vibrant traditions of Ireland.
Under the direction of Trea Champagne, TCRG, the Champagne Academy of Irish Dance has been a cornerstone of the Eastern Iowa arts community since 2007. The Academy welcomes dancers of all ages and skill levels—from beginners to champions—and has graced stages alongside international and national artists alike.
Adding to the celebration, Doras Nua, featuring Tara McGovern (fiddle, vocals) and Chris Dimond (guitar), brings an evocative blend of folk, jazz, and rock influences. Their name, Doras Nua—Irish for “a new door”—reflects the duo’s fresh and spirited approach to traditional music.
Come experience an afternoon of high-energy dance, beautiful melodies, and holiday cheer as we open a new door into the magic of an Irish Christmas!
