The 18th Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign Sponsored Walk will take place on Sunday 31st August – starting at 12.15pm.
The walk will take us on a beautifully scenic off-road coastal ramble from Balbriggan train station up to Laytown, where we’ll finish up with some light refreshments.
PLEASE JOIN, SHARE & INVITE YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK, THANKS!

The last seventeen walks have been enormous fun and raised a lot of money for the IPSC, as well as letting people get to know each other a little better and have a bit of craic together.
IMPORTANT: If you are interested in coming along and getting sponsorship (there is no minimum sponsorship fee!) then please email [email protected] with your details, put ‘Sponsored Walk’ in the subject title and we will send you on a sponsorship card and any further relevant info.
We have also set up a dedicated iDonate IPSC Sponsored Walk page where you can register your own sponsorship page. Then all you need do is to send the link to friends, colleagues and family for sponsorship. To get started on iDonate just click here https://www.idonate.ie/event/IPSCWalk2025 then choose ‘Start Fundraising’ – thank you!
How to get there and back:
If you’re coming from Dublin, the easiest way is to get the commuter train from Connolly to Drogheda and get out at Balbriggan Station– it leaves at 11.10am and takes 45 minutes. We’ll be meeting outside the train station at 12pm, and setting off at 12.15pm – keep an eye out for some Palestinian flags flying.
The easiest way back to Dublin from Laytown is to get the train from Laytown station, just a few minutes from the end point of the walk.
What to bring:
Everyone should bring a packed lunch, enough to drink, warm and waterproof clothing, hiking/walking boots. The walk is not difficult, it will last approx 3 hours and is mainly flat, but participants should have a reasonable level of fitness. People will also be required to sign an indemnity form prior to the start of the walk.
