About this Event
Join us for our next workshop as we continue to explore coastal resilience themes and build a shared understanding of learning priorities for the Foyle.
Together we aim to:
- Create a space for sharing different forms of knowledge and experiences of the Foyle
- Learn more about the actions we can take to build coastal resilience
Our project has grown out of the recognition that multi-actor community voices must be at the centre of decision-making if coastal places are to become more resilient, sustainable, and socially just in the face of environmental, social, economic and cultural change.
The impacts of environmental degradation, climate change, and weak governance have been identified as key resilience themes around the Foyle. We invite you to engage in discussions on these themes and share your views and suggestions of the priority actions for securing sustainable Foyle futures.
Refreshments will be provided.
After the discussions, we'd love for you to join us on a short (one hour, totally optional) foraging walk along the Foyle with Gemma Harkin. This will leave from Prehen City of Derry Boat Club/Foyle Search and Rescue car park (5mins drive from the venue). We can car share if necessary. Please dress appropriately.
Please Register by 5pm Monday 13th April.
Feel free to send this onto anyone who you think might be interested in joining us.
