Invitation to Change (ITC) Skills Group

A supportive group for family members and friends of someone experiencing substance use challenges. This group provides a welcoming, non-judgmental space to learn practical ways to support your loved one while also taking care of yourself.

The group is based on the Invitation to Change (ITC) approach, which focuses on compassion, connection, and relationship-based strategies. Participants will learn skills that can be used in everyday situations to improve communication, reduce conflict, and encourage positive change.

Who should attend

This group may be helpful for:
• Parents, caregivers, spouses, partners, siblings, or close friends
• Anyone worried about a loved one’s alcohol or drug use
• People unsure how to talk about substance use without arguments

No prior experience or training is needed. You are welcome whether your loved one is actively using, in treatment, in recovery, or not ready for change.
