About Our Speaker: Ambassador Jack Lew
Jack Lew is Ambassador of the United States to Israel. Nominated by President Biden, he was sworn in on November 2, 2023. Ambassador Lew previously served as the 76th Secretary of the Treasury, White House Chief of Staff and twice as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), under both President Clinton and President Obama. He previously served in the Department of State as Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton.
After leaving the Department of the Treasury, Ambassador Lew served as Managing Partner at Lindsay Goldberg, a private equity firm, and on the faculty at School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, from which he is currently on leave.
Previously, Lew served as Managing Partner at Lindsay Goldberg and on the faculty at School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He was the Managing Director and COO for two different Citigroup business units. Prior to that, he was executive vice president and COO of New York University. President George W. Bush nominated Ambassador Lew to serve on the Board of Directors of the Corporation for National and Community Service, where he chaired its Management, Administration, and Governance Committee.
After the Obama Administration, Lew served on the boards of the National Library of Israel, USA (where he was co-president); the National Committee on US China Relations (where he was chair); the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities; and the Financial Services Volunteer Corps. He is a graduate of Harvard and Georgetown Law School, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Social Insurance, and of the bar in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
About Our Speaker: Ambassador Michael Oren
Ambassador Michael Oren has devoted his life to serving Israel and the Jewish People around the world. During his nearly five-year tenure as Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, he worked to secure funding for the Iron Dome and other military aid, and US loan guarantees to bolster Israel’s economy. He built bridges with diverse communities across the US to fortify the US-Israel alliance. As Knesset member and Deputy Minister of Diplomacy in the Prime Minister’s Office, he interacted with foreign leaders and defended Israel in the media, and spearheaded efforts to strengthen Israel-Diaspora relations, develop the Golan Heights, and fight BDS.
Michael grew up in New Jersey, was a Lone Soldier in the 1982 Lebanon War, was repeatedly arrested by the KGB helping the Zionist underground in the USSR, and is the author of many bestselling books including, Israel 2048, Six Days of War, Ally, and Power Faith & Fantasy. Most recently Michael has launched the Israel Advocacy Group and 'Clarity' published on Substack.

The Peres Center is hosting photographer Ziv Koren in an exhibition aimed at memorializing and preserving the memory of October 7th, the greatest disaster that has ever occurred in the State of Israel. Our event attendees will be able to view the gallery installation upon arrival at the Peres Center.
Chemi Peres
After serving as a pilot in the Israeli Air Force for 10 years, Chemi Peres, the son of the late Shimon Peres, started his career at Israel Aerospace Industries Engineering department. Chemi is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Pitango Venture Capital, and also serves as Chairman of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation. In 2023 he published his first book: My Israel - 70 Faces of the Land.
