Learn how his creativity and budget-friendly design choices led to the award-winning restoration of an 1894 home, which earned the Mayor's Award for Excellence in Historical Restoration.Chuck Bennis grew up in Brandon, SD, and earned his degree in Art Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He and his wife, Larissa, have lived in Brookings with their two sons since 2014. After a successful career in the non-profit sector as an Executive Director for the YMCA, Chuck now focuses on his art business, Bennis Art Studios, and real estate investing. Chuck has also served on the local boards of Brookings Arts Council and Habitat for Humanity. His passion for creativity and restoration fuels both his artistic pursuits and his property ventures
