We’re thrilled to team up with POCACITO for the annual German-American Investigating Coastal Biodiversity Camp — a FREE, week-long adventure at Camp Wilkes in Biloxi, July 5-11!This unique international camp brings together students from Mississippi and Germany to explore coastal ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental stewardship — all in a vibrant, hands-on, and culturally diverse setting.
🏕️ What’s in store?
-Kayaking
-Exploring native plants and carnivorous plants
-A boat ride to explore one of the barrier islands
-Hikes and biomapping
-Beach cleanup
-Planting marshes for a living shoreline project
-Learning about our local habitats and the animals impacting them
-and of course everything that is fun on the beach in summer (swimming, campfires, sports)
