Embrace Wisconsin winter by breathing the crisp, clean air, getting some exercise, and working along friends to restore native habitat at Lower Mud Lake Natual Resource Area! We will be working in two oak woodlands. One is an upland area and is home to a Native American linear mound. We have made great progress in opening up the area around the mound, but much still needs to be done. The second oak woods is in a wetter area, close to a sedge meadow.Sawyers and haulers are needed. Sawyers bring their own equipment and safety gear. Haulers do just that--haul branches, brush into brush piles for later burning. Safety helmets, gloves, loppers provided for haulers.
