Join us for a fun and creative day of painting with watercolours! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn new techniques and unleash your creativity. Our talented instructor will guide you through the process, providing tips and tricks to help you create your own piece.

This workshop will introduce you the basic principles of watercolour painting. You will learn simple painting techniques which will allow you to create your own watercolor paintings and have fun with it. With a few warm-up activities and the appropriate materials, you’ll start to understand how watercolor works, get comfortable with the medium, and take advantage of unexpected results. The goal is giving you tools to come up with your creations and be able to keep exploring on your own. We also hope to create a safe environment for creatives to explore new techniques and connect with the artistic community. The 3-hours workshop will allow for a well-paced demonstration of multiple painting layers.

The workshop will be led by Nina Ramos, a children's book Illustrator based in Toronto. Originally from Northeast of Brazil, Nina is a self-taught artist with 10 years of experience in Illustration, five of those years teaching photorealistic portrait drawing, hand lettering and watercolour. Since 2020 she has been working as a children's book illustrator and has worked on five published children's books and more to come, and now she is currently a student of Illustration and Cartooning at School of Design George Brown College.

All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you want. We have limited the spots to 12 people to make sure the facilitator can have enough one-to-one time. The workshop is designed for ppl 18+.

Ticket prices are $60. You can also get your tickets at our website (www.underscoreprojects.ca) or by emailing us at [email protected]

Underscore Projects' coffee shop will be running with delicious treats and coffee drinks.
