Join us at Echuca Regional Health to learn & discuss the manual handling risks that occur during the ‘episode of care’ for the larger personAbout this Event
Introduction to repositioning and transferring the larger person
Join us in person for a session at ERH in which we discuss and consider:
- What are our risks across staff safety, quality of care, productivity, environmental, psychosocial safety for the patient and legal and compliance for the organisation?
- What are our organisational rules and operational tools we need to have in place?
- Physical demonstration of safe patient handling and nolift procedures, identifying the extensive amount of transfers that occur within the hospital and aged care from admission, through to transferring to the mortuary.
This session is open to Nolift co-ordinators, risk and safety professionals, and those working towards managing the risks associated with hazardous manual handling in the healthcare industry.
Places are limited to allow for participants to share and engage in group discussion and problem solving, sharing of resources and hands on observation of procedures.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
