About this Event
This theoretical workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from the founder of the Perrin Technique—a pioneering approach to assessing and treating Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and other related neurolymphatic conditions.
Dr. Perrin will take us through the science and theory behind the technique that he and other trained practitioners successfully utilise to help their patients suffering from these challenging conditions.
Biography of the Speaker:
Dr Perrin qualified in 1984 from the British School of Osteopathy in London and has since practised osteopathy in his clinic in Manchester, UK .
His research since 1989 into ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome has expanded our knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of complex neurological disease. In July 2005 he was awarded a doctorate by the university of Salford, UK for his thesis on the involvement of cerebrospinal fluid and lymphatic drainage in ME/CFS.
Since 2007 he has held the academic post of Honorary Senior lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire, UK and was also honorary clinical research fellow at in the faculty of Biology Medicine and Health at the University of Manchester. He now holds the prestigious position of adjunct professor of osteopathic manipulative medicine at New York Institute of Technology’s College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In 2015 he joined the international faculty of the German School of Osteopathy (OSD) and teaches osteopathic theory and practice to students in colleges all over Europe and to the medical profession world-wide.
His research into ME/CFS and now Long- COVID has been published in major medical journals including The British Medical Journal and has written bestselling books on his protocol ‘The Perrin Technique’ .
He has completed a research project with the UK’s National Health Service into Long-COVID published in December 2025, and published a book in 2024 on the subject ‘Through The Looking Glass: diagnosing and treating Long-COVID using The Perrin Technique.
For his service to osteopathy Dr Perrin was appointed a vice-patron of the University College of Osteopathy, London and he was the winner of the inaugural Research and Practice Award from the Institute of Osteopathy in 2015.
