Discover the structure and rhythm of handwoven cloth.Join Ellie Fisher from Elka Textiles for a two-day table loom weaving workshop in the beautiful gallery space at Fisherton Mill, Salisbury.
Table looms are used to create fine handwoven cloth — from scarves and tea towels to fabric for fashion and interiors. Because setting up and weaving on a table loom is a more detailed process, this workshop takes place over two full days, allowing time to learn, explore and weave at your own pace.
Across both days, Ellie (a weaver with over 20 years’ experience) will guide you through planning your warp, threading your loom, and exploring pattern structures before spending the second day weaving and documenting samples.
All materials are provided, including natural yarns and fibres such as organic cotton, bamboo, flax and hemp. You’ll also receive clear printed handouts to take home, along with tea, coffee and biscuits each day. Plus, enjoy a 20% discount on lunch in the Fisherton Mill Gallery Café.
Spaces are limited to a maximum of four participants to ensure plenty of one-to-one guidance.
Co-hosted with Fisherton Mill — Salisbury’s vibrant hub for art, craft and creativity.
