Introduction to Storytelling

Discover the art and craft of storytelling in this engaging three-part workshop designed for beginners and anyone interested in sharing stories more effectively. Guided by experienced storyteller Gary Green, participants will explore the fundamentals of oral storytelling, including finding a story, shaping a narrative, and bringing it to life through voice, presence, and imagination.
Through discussion, demonstrations, and supportive practice, participants will learn practical techniques to build confidence and develop their own storytelling style.
Whether you are interested in personal stories, traditional tales, or stories connected to local history and culture, this workshop offers a welcoming environment to begin your storytelling journey.
This workshop is presented by St. John’s Storytelling and Torbay History House.
