Introduction to Sewing: Vintage Edition

Join Tabbey Bobbin Workshop and Friday's Vintage are teaming up for a hands-on, beginner-friendly sewing workshop! Learn the fundamentals of machine sewing and walk away with a completed small project, all while surrounded by the inspiration of beautiful vintage fashion.

This two-hour and thirty-minute intensive workshop is designed for complete novices (or those who need a refresher). We'll cover everything you need to confidently operate a sewing machine and start your journey into garment repair and creation.

• Machine Mastery: How to thread a machine, wind a bobbin, and troubleshoot common issues.
• Essential Stitches: Understanding straight stitch, zigzag, and backstitching for secure seams.
• Seam Allowances & Cutting: Learning how to measure and cut fabric accurately.
• Hands-On Project: Create a zip-up pouch perfect for storing those essentials
• Vintage Tips: Special advice on caring for and sewing vintage fabrics and garments.

This unique workshop takes place at Friday's Vintage. Enjoy the inspiring atmosphere, and feel free to browse their incredible collection before or after the class. Learning to sew is the first step to mending, customising, and preserving the precious finds in your wardrobe!
