Craft Your Own Resin Jewelry!
Join us for an exciting jewelry-making session where our resident resin expert Amanda Preske will guide you through creating stunning jewelry pieces. Learn everything you need to know about working with resin, including troubleshooting techniques.
Why This Activity is Great for Adults:
- Expert Guidance: Gain valuable insights and tips from our experienced resin artist.
- Creative and Personalized Creations: Bring small items (quarter-sized or smaller and thin) to embed in your resin pendants. If you have questions about whether something can go in resin, reach us via our contact us page.
Details:
- Includes All Materials: We provide resin, molds, and all necessary tools.
- Who Can Join:
- Open to adults and teens only (inappropriate for kids under 12 due to all the steps and directions-following required).
- Registration is required in advance. The class will be cancelled if there are no registrations and walk-ins are only possible if the class isn't cancelled.
- Please show up by event start time so we can go through all the instructions together as a group.
Getting Here & What to Expect:
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).
Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
Bus: The D72, D74, C51, and C53 buses stop nearby.
Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
