About this Event
Let Leeds podcaster Simon Treen, presenter of the Working Hours podcast and the owner and founder of Leeds based podcast production company Western Studios Leeds Ltd, take you through a holistic podcast production journey with his Introduction to Podcasting workshop.
From the pre-production planning to the recording, editing and publication of your production on to post-production hosting and marketing of your episodes, Simon will cover everything you do and don’t have to think about before you hit record, export or publish on your very first podcast.
- How do you choose your show name?
- How do you find copyright free music and create copyright free art work for your show and its episodes?
- How long will your episodes be? How many?
- Will you have video or not?
- What channels will your podcast be on and what channels will you promote it on?
- What is a podcast hosting platform? Should you pay? Where should you publish your show?
- What haven’t you thought of???
Simon has more than six years of podcasting experience and has created hundreds of podcast episodes, generated thousands of downloads from around the world. His workshop is perfect for you if you need a final nudge to make your first podcast or if you just fancy dipping a toe into the world of podcasting.
You’ll learn about what recording options are right for you. Where and how to record, what to record with and what you need to capture for your show. Editing software; do you need it? If so, do you need to pay for it? And we’ll look at some editing techniques to help you know where to cut, what to cut and how to cut.
Working in a small informal group the session is tailored to you and what you want and need to know to make the podcast that you want to make.
Simon wants to take the show you have in your mind and help you bring it out into the world.
