🎨 **Introduction to Pastels: Landscape Workshop**Join me for a relaxed one-day workshop introducing soft pastels through a Highland landscape subject.
We’ll begin the day with an introduction to popular materials and techniques used for pastel drawing, including paper types and different kinds of pastels. We’ll look at how pastels behave, how to layer colour, and how to build up a drawing in manageable stages.
We’ll then move on to use our scenic cottage and loch reference to create a landscape in pastels, looking at simple composition, blocking in large shapes, soft sky and hill effects, and adding texture in grasses and foreground details.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone wanting to try pastels in a friendly, supportive setting. Numbers are kept small so there will be plenty of individual guidance throughout the day.

**Doors open:** 9:30am for a relaxed start
