About this Event

Description:

Conflict is a healthy and inevitable part of personal and professional relationships. Conflict often arises because of breakdowns in communication, expectations (both spoken and unspoken), and trust. While many might prefer avoiding conflict altogether, it only manages to “pop-up” in unexpected ways at later times. Left unaddressed, it can have a negative and lasting impact on both relationships and outcomes. This is especially true when having difficult conversations around race and power. Non-Violent Communication (NVC)uses a four-part guide as part of its conflict resolution philosophy that is used to address conflict in a productive and transparent way. This webinar will introduce you to the model of Non-Violent Communication, review the four-part process, and identify opportunities to practice its application as a method for conflict resolution.

Objectives:

As a result of this course, participants will be prepared to:

1. Describe the use of Non-Violent Communication as a tool for conflict Resolution.

2. Name the four-part Nonviolent Communication Process.
