During this 1 day course you are invited to join our ML or HML qualified instructors to unlock the mysteries of the humble map and gain confidence in route planning and compass skills.The course is split between a morning of classroom work before we walk out the door to get "hands on". You will be provided with a map of the area, a compass and guided through all of the skills necessary to plan and execute your own navigational lowland walks using the footpath network.
This course is based from our head office in Rowsley in the beautiful Peak District National Park. The day runs from 09:30-16:30 ish.
This course is for over 16's although under 18's must be accompanied by an adult, only paid places will have resources allocated to them to participate in the workshop. This workshop starts from our World Of Bushcraft Centre in the Peak District, where free tea and coffee will be available.
