A free, small-group course for anyone wanting to improve basic navigation and map-reading skills.We’ll cover:
• Understanding a map
• Orientating map to ground
• Measuring distance
• The magic number
If time allows, we may also touch on basic compass skills.

Saturday 25th April
8:30am – 1:00pm
👥 Limited to 6 people MAX
Once full, a waiting list will be started.
This course is free (although coffee and cake are always welcome 😄☕🍰).
You’ll need:
• OS Explorer OL14 map
• Compass with measuring guide and magnifier
