Learn how to make inks from kitchen waste, wild plants and other natural materials. Using plants gathered from the gardens you will learn how to extract colour and use modifiers, binders and preservatives.
Modifiers extend the range of colours from inks and we will use them to make a swatch. We will look at examples of my ink works for inspiration and there will be time for your own experiments. By the end of the workshop you will have a bottle of ink, colour swatch, experimental drawings and an instruction manual to take away with you.
