About this Event
One of the more fluid, tactile and drawing based printmaking disciplines. Monotype covers a broad range of single print markmaking techniques.
In this workshop we will study the form and movement of animals, moving from the figurative to the abstract, you will be given time to experiment, play and find your style. Guided by two Royal College of Art trained printmakers you will leave with a selection of final prints. We welcome all skill levels.
Alongside the workshop you will be provided with a selection of complimentary snacks and beverages.
Studio Notes:
- Please arrive on time and wrapped up warm – our studio, whilst lovely, is an old Victorian building and though we will have heaters it still gets very cold in the wintertime.
- Make sure any clothes you are wearing you are happy to get messy in – we do have aprons, but printmaking is unpredictable at times.
- You do not need to bring any materials as they will all be provided to you.
Parking:
Free parking is available outside the Fire Station; however, it is limited. There is plenty of street parking down Park Road which is free on weekends or after 6pm on weekdays.
Directions:
Coming from New Ferry By-pass turn into Bolton Road, at the roundabout take the second exit into The Ginnel, then Wharf Street and onto Wood Street. Just before the turn onto Greendale Road there is a small road to the right. The Fire Station will be on your right.
Coming from Bromborough Road through Ellen’s Lane. Turn right onto Greendale Road at the entrance through the tunnel. Turn left onto Park Road and then take an immediate right onto a small road. The Fire Station will be on your left.
