If you're curious about welding and want to give it a try, this class is for you! Spend 3 hours in the Forge's welding shop and get your first MIG welding practice. This class is the perfect orientation for Forge Member's looking for clearance in the welding shop and curious visitors 18 years or older looking to try it out! This class will cover:
​Gas regulation
Safety Gear
Setting up the machine
Running the welder
Butt Joints (from different angles)
Tee Joints
Tack Welding
All materials for the class are provided. For comfort and safety, wear closed toed shoes and long pants and sleeves made from natural fibers, such as cotton, denim, or linen. Please note that if you do not dress appropriately for this class you may not be able to fully participate and you will not receive a credit or refund. This class is intended for participants 18 years or older.
