About this Event
In visions of our lives now and in the future, we hope for and create the room to be ourselves with one another, however we choose to. The capacity to clothe ourselves and our communities, offers us a new form of care and self-determination.
Join us in the PLACE Makery for a beginners sewing class, no prior experience required. In this class, you’ll learn basics of machine sewing and item construction. Sewing machines and materials are provided. This course will use all donated and recycled materials, offering us the opportunity to create new life from what we already have. Students will learn the basic functions of the sewing machine, and create their first project. With the intention of gentle and attentive instruction, all classes are capped at 8 students.
All participants are asked to mask the entirety of the class.
