Event Description:

Mako San Productions and Full Element Martial Arts proudly present a rare opportunity to explore the traditional Korean Sword. This one-hour introductory class will be held at Ripley Grier Studios (520 8th Avenue, Studio 17X) on Saturday, November 16th.

Whether you're seeking a new martial arts path, a unique family outing, or a way to reduce stress and improve mindfulness, this immersive workshop is designed for you.

? Schedule:

  • Adult Class (Ages 13+): 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
  • Children’s Class (Ages 6–12): 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Includes:

  • A free wooden practice sword.
  • Instruction by certified Korean swordmasters.
  • Light food/refreshments.
  • An unforgettable introduction to sword basics.

?️ What You’ll Learn:

  • Proper grip, drawing, and sheathing of the sword.
  • Foundational stances and footwork.
  • Basic sword forms (Kata).
  • Meditative breathing techniques.
  • (If time permits) paper cutting demonstration.
