Discover the foundations of jewellery making in this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop focused on form, texture and creative exploration.Using base metals including brass, copper and aluminium, you will experiment with simple but effective techniques to create surface pattern and shape your metal by hand. Through guided demonstrations and plenty of time to play, you’ll transform your textured pieces into a pair of earrings or a unique pendant to take home.
This is where many jewellers begin, learning to understand how metal behaves and how subtle textures can completely change a design. No soldering is involved and no previous experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
A small selection of silver will be available to purchase on the day if you’d like to apply your new skills to a finer metal.
Please bring reading glasses if required. For safety, wear closed-toe shoes and tie long hair back.
