About this Event
In celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, we are looking forward to welcoming Ziyad Chaudhary of Islamic Finance Guru at The School of Sufi Teaching on Saturday 7th March for an informative talk clarifying the basics of Islamic Finance.
Topics covered will include:
- Personal finance
- Halal investments and recommendations
- Zakat calculation
- Wills
There will be an opportunity to ask Ziyad any questions after the talk.
From 3pm, before the talk, you are warmly invited to join optional prayer [‘Asr] in congregation, followed by a 45 minute silent Sufi meditation.
The talk + Q&A will begin promptly at 4:45pm and run for 1 hour.
After the session we will break fast, pray Maghreb in congregation, then share a community Iftar meal together.
50% of all proceeds will go to charity.

This is a hybrid event, both in-person and online.

Ziyad Chaudhary works with Islamic Finance Guru a company helping the Muslim community across the world get back to a level financial playing field. It has 400k+ followers across social media platforms and it powers an islamic investment firm that has 200m USD under management. Ziyad was a business consultant for a 2bn revenue consulting firm and has done internships in the Office for National Statistics and The Property Space. He graduated in Economics, Politics and History from UCL.
The School of Sufi Teaching offers instruction in teachings of five main Sufi Orders to awaken the hidden powers of the self and make them operative in life. The technique of the School consists of a special form of meditation (muraqaba), which results in an intuitive insight that enables us to begin to understand the truths about life and the universe whilst developing our character. The School strives to understand the essential nature of humans, the universe, and humanity’s relation to it in a way relevant to the contemporary world.
