About this Event
Come learn the basics of iNaturalist and find out how you can contribute to citizen science in your day to day life with this partnered event sponsored by Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) and SCDNR Conservation Education. This three hour class will teach you how to record observations, verify the observations of others, and join and create projects to best fit your own goals as well as participate in global collection efforts! We will split the time between in classroom instruction and a short naturalist hike on ReWa’s property.
Ages 13 years and older or children with an already established verified account approved by an adult are welcome to participate. This class is best experienced by coming with a smart phone or a laptop and camera. Please come to class with an iNaturalist account already created and downloaded to your smartphone or a login created on your computer. If you are having difficulty creating an account please email [email protected] in advance. This class will be limited to the first 20 people to sign up and is free of charge.
