About this Event
Most of us think we know honey.
We stir it into tea, drizzle it over biscuits, add it to yogurt, or pick up a jar at a farmers market. But honey is so much more than sweet.
Join The Giddy Bee for Introduction to Honey Appreciation, a guided honey tasting experience designed for honey lovers, foodies, gardeners, tea drinkers, home cooks, and anyone curious about flavor, bees, and where food comes from.
During this seated tasting experience, you’ll sample six curated honeys side by side, including familiar, floral, bold, infused, and creamed varieties. Together, we’ll explore how flowers, bees, seasons, weather, region, and handling shape the flavor, aroma, color, and texture of every jar.
This is honey tasting the way you might experience wine, coffee, chocolate, or olive oil — approachable, sensory, educational, and fun.
You’ll learn:
- How bees make honey from nectar
- Why different honeys taste dramatically different
- What honey terms like raw, wildflower, varietal, infused, and creamed actually mean
- How to taste honey by color, aroma, texture, and flavor
- How to use different honeys in tea, cooking, baking, drinks, cheese boards, desserts, and everyday meals
Your ticket includes a guided tasting of six curated honeys, a tasting card for notes and comparisons, honey education led by Anne Marie of The Giddy Bee, and a small take-home gift.
No prior honey knowledge is needed — just bring your curiosity.
Come curious. Leave with a whole new appreciation for honey.
Local honey helps you taste your region. Curated honey helps you taste the world.
