About this Event
Dates & times: May 16, 10 am β 4pm and May 17, 10 am β 4 pm
In this introduction to the hot shop class participants will learn the basics of working with soft glass. We'll focus on how to navigate around the shop, how to incorporate color into pieces, and making art like paper weights and ornaments. Using tools, breath, and heat each participant will have a chance to learn how the glass reacts to what is happening around it. Students will acquire a better understanding of how the glass turns from a liquid into a colorful, solid piece of art!
No prior experience is required to participate. This workshop includes lunch in Pilchuckβs historic dining lodge.
Participants must be 18+ to sign up.
