Join Nessa Doran O'Reilly, Programme Manager for Rediscover Furniture, for a hands-on introduction to furniture restorationDiscover the art of furniture restoration with the Rediscovery Centre's Nessa Doran O'Reilly. At this hands-on workshop you will learn tips on how to identify the finish used (eg. wax, lacquer, etc.) to ensure the best care for it. Nessa will also cover the various techniques of cleaning antique furniture and teach you the methods for reviving certain finishes and, time allowing, how to carry out minor repairs.
You are welcome to bring along a small piece of furniture for cleaning and advice. The Rediscovery Centre will provide all materials on the day.
