About this Event

Ross Hinter of the Alberta Trappers Association will focus on the role of trapping in the conservation cycle and furbearer management in Alberta. This will be a combination of an indoor presentation & discussion and will be followed by a wilderness walk and outdoor demonstration. Ross will present information on how traps & snares are set and how the trapper reads the ground to know where to place them.

Minimum Attendance Age

If a youth is attending without adult accompaniment, they must be 15 years of age or older. If the youth is accompanied by an adult however, there really isn’t a minimum age. As long as they are old enough to make it through the session's activities and do so safely, they are absolutely welcome to attend.
