About this Event
About the Class:
This one-time workshop will cover film photography basics and includes a photo walk in Shelby park! During the workshop you will learn how to use analog point & shoot and SLR cameras, load film, properly expose film, ways to compose photos, common film photography mistakes, and where to get film processed in town. Enjoy a fun and relaxed environment and the opportunity to connect with fellow photography enthusiasts and share ideas.
Limited spots are available, so make sure to secure your place early. This workshop is geared towards complete beginners and photographers wanting to learn more about the use of their camera. You will need your own film camera for this course, if you haven’t made the investment yet, we have a small number of cameras available to loan.
Supplies: The cost of your class supplies (including film) has been included in the class fee so it's all covered. Please bring your own film camera, if you have one, to the workshop. Make Nashville will provide any other materials and equipment needed.
Note: Come ready to walk-- Wear comfortable shoes as we will be walking to Shelby Bottoms to take photos! We will be taking a short 30 minute break for lunch so be prepared with a packed lunch or an idea for somewhere close by to pick up food.
