About this Event
Etchings are some of the lushest prints imaginable – embossed papers, rich inks, and distinctive lines and tones. Everything looks better as an etching!
Working with printmaker Jodi Le Bigre, this course will explore both line and tonal mark making on copper plates.
This two-day course will introduce participants to hardground, soft ground, and aquatint etching processes, as well as covering the techniques needed to print intaglio plates. This course is intended for those new to etching or those looking to brush up on their skills and get comfortable in the workshop.
All participants on the course will also receive three free session passes to welcome them into the studio in the months following the course.
The workshop will take place on Friday 17 May & Friday 24 May, 10:00 - 17:00. All materials provided.
Workshop participants will also receive 2 free complimentary open access sessions to continue their printmaking journey.
We are delighted to launch our programme of printmaking courses for the coming spring and summer. The programme covers an exciting and varied range of processes and ability levels to suit complete beginners right through to more experienced printmakers.
We are passionate about making printmaking as accessible as possible and reducing barriers to participation as far as we can, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to develop their creativity.
Please get in touch directly if you wish to be added to a reserve list which we will consider if spaces are available close to the start time of each course.
