About this Event
This learning circle will meet in-person at Danforth/Coxwell Library, every Wednesday evening, 6-7:30 PM, January 8 - February 5.
Participants will learn together in a peer-supported environment through a learning circle, a lightly facilitated study group guided by library staff for people who want to take a free online course together in a welcoming space. Participants are expected to commit to the duration of the course and attend weekly learning circle sessions.
Together, we will be working through Cisco Networking Academy's Introduction to Cybersecurity course, where we'll be introduced to basic concepts in cybersecurity, including:
- how to identify different types of attacks and vulnerabilities
- how to safeguard devices, networks, and data
- potential career paths for those interested in learning more
Learners who complete the course will earn a digital badge and certificate of completion.
