About this Event
Community Herbalism aims to put herbal remedies in the hands of the people. We increasingly hear about the rise in interest in natural remedies, and the desire people have to understand the properties of the plants around them in indigeonous medicine, so in partnership with Grá Fiánta we would like to offer this workshop to community gardeners.
Grá Fiánta Herbal exists to build power in communities by reconnecting people with the ancient, traditional knowledges of folk medicine. The aim is to mobilise plant medicine in support of people experienceing marginalisation and oppression, as part of the wider struggle for rights, community sovereignty, and justice. Leasha's herbalism practice is grounded in the city ecosystem in which she lives, and is guided by principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and reciprocity. You can see other courses Leasha offers here: https://www.grafiantaherbal.com/
