Introduction to Children's Book Illustration Course at VAM

Wednesdays from 7:00pm-9:00pm | May 15th -June 12th (5 weeks)

Inspired to illustrate a children's book? This course will introduce you to various topics to begin creating portfolio pieces. From storyboarding and colour roughs to page spreads and character design, you will further develop your ability to illustrate for picture books. Illustrators are welcome to work with their own story or illustrate a text provided by the Instructor. Valuable information about contracts and what clients are looking for will also be discussed. Materials not included.
