Charcoal drawing class with landscape artist Jerry Smith.Experiment with mark‐making in charcoal and use it to create variety and depth in a scene. Jerry will show you how charcoal can be a quick and effective tool for exploring composition, and how it plays an important role in his own work as a landscape painter. All materials provided, but please bring a pencil, ruler and eraser if you have them.
We are very excited to welcome the locally renowned artist Jerry Smith Paintings as a tutor at the Makers’ House. Along with Vicki Hunt Artist he will be offering an exciting new range of art based courses. Jerry will begin by offering an introduction to charcoal drawing, for him the first step in his process of creating his astonishing paintings.
