Introduction to Building with Earth Workshop
Ready to get your hands dirty? Join Orchard Barns' in-person workshop and discover the amazing world of earth building techniques. Whether you’re curious about sustainable construction or want to learn a cool new skill, this session is perfect for you. Meet like-minded folks, experiment with natural materials, and walk away inspired to build something awesome with earth!
What to bring:
- Wellies
- Old clothes or overalls
- Snacks and a drink
- Lunch if you would like to join us for a shared picnic lunch in the orchard afterwards
- Protective gloves, if you have some, if not we can provide these

Orchard Barn is an award winning, off-grid community run centre for environmental education set within a traditional Suffolk orchard in Ringshall. We provide workshops and family sessions focused on nature connection, traditional crafts and building skills, wildlife discovery and hands-on environmental learning.
